Overview
The Creating Movies workflow in ACT 3 AI takes you from an idea or script to a fully rendered, AI-generated video project. Whether you are making a short film, ad, social clip, or full-length feature, ACT 3 AI provides a guided path with tools for writing, structuring, casting, and assembly.
Steps to Create a Movie
Step 1: Start a Project
- Go to New Project in the dashboard.
- Enter a title, description, and choose project type (Film, YouTube, TikTok, Commercial).
- Select aspect ratio (16:9, 9:16, 1:1) and duration.
Step 2: Shape the Story
- Use the AI Wizard to generate logline, acts, and beats.
- Import or write your script in the Script Editor.
- Auto-format scene headings, character names, and dialogue.
Step 3: Build Characters & Cast
- Define characters (name, role, backstory).
- Assign digital actors with custom wardrobe, style, and voices.
- Use motion capture for realistic movement if needed.
Step 4: Visual Planning
- Block action in Top-Down View (cameras, lights, props).
- Use Storyboard & Panels for shot sketches or imported art.
- Sequence events in the timeline editor.
Step 5: Generate Video Clips
- Select scenes or shots and render with:
- Google Veo 3 Integration – photorealism
- Runway Integration – stylized & experimental
- WAN AI Integration – low-latency collaboration previews
- Adjust resolution (Draft → 4K) and preview costs in the Credit System panel.
Step 6: Import Media
- Add external media via Import Script or Import B-Roll.
- Sync voiceovers, audio tracks, or external assets.
Step 7: Assemble & Edit
- Use Build Video to combine shots, transitions, and sound.
- Apply color grading and style adjustments.
- Lock scenes once approved.
Step 8: Render & Export
- Send jobs to the Render Queue for overnight or batch rendering.
- Export in MP4, MOV, or ProRes at 1080p or 4K.
- Deliver pitch decks, lookbooks, and thumbnails automatically.
- Export scripts via Export Script if needed.
Tips for Success
- Start small: Use draft previews to experiment cheaply before final 4K renders.
- Be specific: More detailed prompts yield better AI outputs.
- Iterate quickly: Use WAN AI Integration for fast creative collaboration.
- Match style: Keep consistent lighting and LUTs across all shots.
- Lock versions: Use scene locking in Timeline for stability.
Troubleshooting
- Scenes not rendering → Check credit balance.
- Inconsistent characters → Ensure character profiles are linked to Digital Actors.
- Long renders → Queue in Render Queue during off-peak hours.
