AI Directing in ACT 3 AI gives creators the ability to shape the pacing, tone, and cinematic style of their projects while keeping full creative control. It acts as your virtual co-director—translating creative decisions into shot composition, camera movement, and visual rhythm inside the Editor workspace.

AI Directing works alongside AI Writing, Scenes, and Shots to bring scripts to life visually, ensuring every beat supports the intended mood and storytelling arc.

What You Can Do

• Narrative Pacing Control: Adjust scene tempo—slow burns, fast cuts, or balanced rhythm.
• Tone & Mood Management: Apply consistent lighting, color palette, and emotional tone across scenes and acts.
• Shot-by-Shot Direction: Specify camera angles, movement, and framing for each shot.
• Preview Variations: Generate multiple visual takes for comparison before committing credits.
• Human-in-the-Loop Editing: Accept, tweak, or override AI camera and blocking suggestions.

• Shot Planning Integration: Works directly with Storyboard Panels and Top-Down View for camera placement.
• Cinematic Presets: Apply built-in looks (e.g., Film Noir, Wes Anderson, Sci-Fi Epic) or custom LUTs.
• Continuity Matching: Maintain lens choice, exposure, and framing style across matching shots.
• Action-Reaction Timing: Automatically adjusts shot order to improve narrative clarity.

How to Use

1. Open your project in the Editor workspace.
2. Select a scene or shot you want to direct.
3. Choose **AI → Directing** from the toolbar.
4. Set parameters: pacing, tone, camera style, lighting, angles, and transitions.
5. Preview suggested shots; approve or make manual adjustments.
6. Send approved shots to Build Video or Render Queue.

Tips

• Set tone and camera style early in AI Wizard to keep visual language consistent.
• Use Top-Down View for complex blocking before applying AI suggestions.
• Preview short draft renders to test pacing before committing credits.
• Override AI-generated transitions for emotional emphasis.

Troubleshooting

• Too static? Increase camera movement or change pacing to “Fast.”
• Off-tone visuals? Check LUT and lighting presets; match them to scene tone.
• Disjointed edits? Enable continuity lock across acts or related scenes.
