Overview

The Actor Library in ACT 3 AI is the central repository where all Digital Actors and characters are stored, organized, and managed. It allows you to browse, create, customize, and reuse actors across multiple projects, ensuring consistency and efficiency in casting and production.

Key Capabilities

  • Browse Digital Actors: Search, filter, and preview available actors.
  • Custom Actor Creation: Build new actors by defining traits such as gender, age, ethnicity, wardrobe, style, and emotional tone.
  • Actor Profiles: Each actor has a profile card with appearance, voice settings, and motion capture options.
  • Reusability: Save actors to your library for reuse across different projects.
  • Collaboration: Share actors within your organization for consistent casting.

How to Access

  1. Open any project in the Editor workspace.
  2. Navigate to the **Actor Library** tab in the sidebar.
  3. Browse existing actors or click **New Actor** to create one.
  4. Assign an actor to a character role in your script.

Actor Customization Options

  • Appearance: Age, gender, ethnicity, style presets.
  • Wardrobe: Clothing, uniforms, accessories.
  • Performance: Emotion, tone, and gestures.
  • Voice: Select from AI-generated voices or import recorded audio.
  • Motion Capture: Apply body or facial capture from devices like iPhone.
  • Licensing: Protect rights and restrict usage of custom actors.

Integration with Workflow

Best Practices

  • Keep a standardized naming system for reusable actors (e.g., “Hero – Season 1”).
  • Store alternate looks (different costumes or ages) in the same actor profile.
  • Share your actor library across your team workspace to maintain continuity.
  • Always check credit usage when rendering test clips of new actors.
