Overview

The 2D & 3D Sets feature in ACT 3 AI provides a flexible environment to design, manage, and visualize production sets. Creators can switch between simple 2D layouts for fast planning and immersive 3D environments for cinematic accuracy. This module bridges storyboards, top-down planning, and final rendering—helping directors and teams map out scenes before shooting or AI generation.

Key Capabilities

  • 2D Layouts: Drag-and-drop props, digital actors, and cameras on a flat grid.
  • 3D Sets: Navigate fully rendered environments with lighting, textures, and depth.
  • Set Scaling: Switch between miniature blocking and full-scale sets.
  • Import/Export: Bring in assets from tools like Blender, Unreal, or upload FBX/OBJ files.
  • AI Assistance: Use AI Wizard to suggest set layouts based on your script.

How to Use

  1. Open the Editor and select the **2D/3D Sets** tab.
  2. In **2D View**, drag items from the Media Library to the stage.
  3. Click **Switch to 3D** for real-time perspective view.
  4. Adjust lighting, camera angles, and actor placement.
  5. Save your configuration or export to the Render Queue.

Collaboration

  • Share sessions with teammates for real-time co-editing.
  • Lock and unlock props or camera paths to avoid conflicts.
  • Leave inline comments on scene arrangements.

Pricing & Credits

  • 2D sets incur no credit usage.
  • 3D set previews and renders consume credits based on complexity and resolution.
  • Exporting to external 3D engines is included in Studio and above.

Troubleshooting & Tips

  • Use 2D for speed and 3D for accuracy.
  • Check Camera Drift YAML for smooth motion planning.
  • Heavy 3D sets may require more credits—test layouts in 2D before rendering in 3D.
