This guide walks you through the step-by-step process of creating a new video or movie using Act3AI’s AI-powered platform. With Act3AI, you can transform a simple idea into a professional video by entering a text prompt and customizing your project. Follow these steps to create your first video, whether it’s a movie, YouTube video, TikTok clip, or more!

Steps to Create a New Video

Step 1: Enter a Description

In the Act3AI dashboard, go to the Create New Project section. Enter a simple description of your video (one line or one paragraph). For example: “A sci-fi adventure where a lone astronaut explores an alien planet.” Click Start Creating Movie to begin.

Step 2: Set Project Details

On the next page, provide the following:

• Title: Give your project a name (e.g., “Cosmic Journey”).
• Genre: Select a genre (e.g., Sci-Fi, Drama, Comedy).
• Project Type: Choose the type of project (e.g., Movie, YouTube, TikTok).
• Aspect Ratio: Select an aspect ratio (e.g., 16:9 for movies, 9:16 for TikTok).
• Organization: Specify if the project is personal or for an organization (e.g., your company or team).

Click Continue to proceed.

Step 3: Select Visual Style

On the next page, choose a visual style for your video (e.g., Cinematic, Animation, Realistic). Click Continue to move forward.

Step 4: Add Script and Settings

You’ll land on a page to configure your project’s script and settings:

• Script: Insert your own script if you have one, or skip this to let Act3AI generate a script based on your description.
• Duration: Select the project’s duration (e.g., 30 seconds for TikTok, 90 minutes for a movie).
• Sharing: Choose whether to share your project with the Act3AI community or keep it private.

Click Continue to proceed.

Step 5: Review Overview

On the Overview page, review your project settings and description. Make any adjustments if needed. Click Finish to confirm.

Step 6: Define Plot Details (AI Wizard)

On the next page, you will land in the AI Wizard where you find the plot details in the provided textboxes:

• Logline: A one-sentence summary of your story (e.g., “A rogue AI threatens humanity’s survival”).
• Theme: The central theme (e.g., Redemption, Survival).
• Story Type: The narrative structure (e.g., Linear, Non-linear).
• Genre: Confirm or adjust the genre selected earlier.
• Tone: Set the tone (e.g., Serious, Humorous, Dark).
• Audience: Define the target audience (e.g., General, Teens, Adults).
• B Story: Describe a secondary storyline, if any (e.g., a romantic subplot).

Click Save and Continue to proceed.

Step 7: Review Acts

On the Act page, review the AI-generated act structure (e.g., Act 1, Act 2, Act 3) or customize it if desired. Ensure the acts align with your story’s flow. Click Continue to move forward.

Step 8: Refine Beats

On the Beat page, review or edit key story beats (e.g., plot points or scenes within each act). Adjust as needed to match your vision. Click Continue.

Step 9: Create Characters

On the Character page, define your characters by adding details like names, roles, and traits. Act3AI may suggest characters based on your script or description. Click Save and Continue to finalize.

Step 10: Generate Scenes and Shots

On the Scenes and Shots page, Act3AI breaks down your script or description into individual scenes and shots. Review the AI-generated scene breakdown, which includes specific shots for each scene (e.g., close-up of a character, wide shot of a landscape). Edit or reorder shots as needed to align with your vision. Add specific prompts for each shot if desired (e.g., “A dramatic close-up of the astronaut’s face with a glowing planet in the background”). Click Save and Continue to proceed.

Step 11: Generative Rendering

On the Generative Rendering page, select from the available AI models in Act3AI to generate your video. Choose a model that best suits your project’s needs (e.g., a model optimized for realistic visuals or one for stylized animations). Adjust rendering settings if available, such as resolution or quality, then click Generate to create the video. This process may take a few minutes, depending on the project’s complexity and the selected model.

Step 12: Preview and Export

On the Editor page, preview the generated video to ensure it matches your vision. Use Act3AI’s editing tools to make adjustments, such as modifying visuals, adding voiceovers, adjusting transitions, or incorporating effects (e.g., text overlays, color grading). When satisfied, click Export to download your video in your chosen format (e.g., MP4, MOV) for sharing on platforms like YouTube, TikTok, or personal use.
