Overview
Digital Actors in ACT 3 AI are fully customizable, AI-generated performers that bring your scenes and shots to life. Instead of casting physical actors, you can design, direct, and reuse digital counterparts that match your script and story beats.
Digital Actors integrate seamlessly into your projects and Editor workspace, saving time and costs while maintaining creative flexibility.
Key Capabilities
- Full Customization: Adjust character appearance, wardrobe, hairstyle, ethnicity, and emotional tone.
- AI Performance Control: Direct body language, expressions, and timing.
- Voice & Dubbing: Assign AI-generated voices with multi-language support and lip-sync accuracy.
- Motion Capture: Use mobile devices or external rigs to capture live performances (see Motion Capture Integration).
- Reusability: Save actors to your asset library and reuse them across episodes, projects, or franchises.
- Rights & Licensing: Built-in protection ensures actor likenesses are secure for commercial projects.
How to Create and Use Digital Actors
- From the Editor sidebar, click Digital Actors.
- Browse the actor library or select Create New.
- Configure:
- Name and role in the story.
- Wardrobe, props, and style.
- Visual features (face, body proportions, hair).
- Performance tone (calm, energetic, fearful, etc.).
- Assign your Digital Actor to lines in the script editor or place them directly into scenes via Top-Down View.
- Preview the actor in Storyboard panels or generate test clips.
Workflow Integration
- AI Wizard – suggests traits and backstory aligned with plot arcs.
- Editor – places actors into scenes with camera and lighting setup.
- Timeline – syncs actor performance with dialogue and scene timing.
- Build Video – final rendering with selected AI engines (Google_Veo_3, Runway, WAN AI).
Best Practices
- Define characters early to ensure consistency.
- Pair voices with emotion settings for natural delivery.
- Use motion capture for realism in action scenes.
- Lock approved performances to prevent accidental edits in team projects.
Troubleshooting
