The AI Writing feature in ACT 3 AI helps creators expand simple ideas into complete, production-ready screenplays. It leverages advanced generative models to produce beats, scenes, and dialogue, while keeping the writer in full creative control.
With AI Writing, you can move from a one-line concept to a fully structured script in minutes.

- Idea Expansion: Grow a short prompt into acts, scenes, and dialogue.
- Beat Generation: Automatically generate story beats for each act.
- Draft Writing: Create structured scripts with character names, dialogue, and scene headings.
- Style & Tone: Adjust genre, pacing, and narrative voice to match your project.
- Human-in-the-loop Editing: Compare versions, accept or reject AI suggestions, and refine.
How It Works
- Start with a short description or logline in New Project.
- Open the AI Wizard to define genre, tone, theme, and audience.
- AI generates a structured outline with acts, scenes, and beats.
- Expand beats into dialogue using the Script Editor.
- Revise and refine manually, or regenerate specific lines with AI assistance.
Example Workflow
- Input: “A lone astronaut explores an alien planet.”
- Output:
- Act 1 — Arrival on the planet, first signs of alien life.
- Act 2 — Rising tension, discovery of alien structures.
- Act 3 — Climax and revelation, astronaut escapes or makes first contact.
- Script is formatted automatically with headings, dialogue, and stage directions.
