Overview

The Getting Started section of the ACT 3 AI platform helps new users quickly begin their creative journey. From launching a project to rendering your first video, this guide walks through the essential steps needed to create content with AI support.

Main Steps

The workflow consists of key stages, each accessible via the sidebar:

New Project – Begin a new production by choosing a format and naming your project.

Write or Import a Script – Use the built-in editor or bring in a script from another tool.

AI Wizard – Generate story structure, beats, and arcs using the AI Wizard assistant.

Digital Actors – Select and customize AI-generated characters for your scenes.

Editor – Use the Top‑Down View and Storyboard tools to organize your production visually.

Render Previews – Generate AI-rendered videos in different qualities and formats.

New Project

  • Click New Project from the dashboard or sidebar.
  • Fill in the project name and description.
  • Select your content type (short film, ad, TikTok, concept test).
  • Save and proceed to script development.

Write or Import a Script

  • Use the built-in script editor to write directly in ACT 3 AI.
  • Automatically formats headers, characters, and dialogue.
  • Import text from Final Draft, Markdown, or plain text.
  • AI Workers can help expand outlines into fully structured scenes.

AI Wizard

  • Open the AI Wizard from the sidebar.
  • Choose your genre, tone, and narrative focus.
  • Review auto-generated arcs, acts, and scenes.
  • Convert beats into script sections for editing.

Digital Actors

  • Access the digital actor library or create new ones.
  • Customize character appearance and assign to script lines.
  • Capture facial expressions or motion using your phone.

Editor – Plan Scenes Visually

  • Use the Top‑Down View to place cameras, props, and actors on a virtual map.
  • Use Storyboard & Panels to visualize each shot.
  • Adjust camera paths, timing, and lighting settings.

Render Previews

  • Select scenes or shots to render.
  • Choose quality: Draft, Medium, High, or 4K.
  • Pick a rendering engine (Google_Veo_3, Wan, Runway).
  • Preview before committing credits and regenerate as needed.

Manage Credits and Plan

  • See estimated credits before rendering.
  • View your credit balance at the top of the screen.
  • Upgrade your plan from the sidebar or visit Subscription Plan.

Collaboration

  • Invite team members to your Organization.
  • Collaborate in real-time on scripts, scenes, and previews.
  • Lock scenes when finalized to prevent changes.
  • Use inline comments for team feedback.

Getting Help

  • Press F1 or click the Help icon in any view.
  • Hover over any tool for instant tooltips.
  • Visit Editor and AI Wizard for deeper guidance.
