Overview

The Editor component of the ACT 3 AI platform is the central workspace where creators transform scripts and storyboards into polished, AI‑assisted video sequences. It unifies script editing, shot planning, visual previews, and AI‑driven regeneration within a single, customizable interface—enabling writers, directors, and editors to maintain full creative control while leveraging automated workflows .

Main Areas

The Editor screen is split into three columns. You can pick which view goes in each column:

Script – Write or edit your screenplay with automatic formatting for scene headings, character names, and dialogue.

Timeline – Arrange your video by time, drag scenes or shots into place, and adjust the timing.

Preview – Play a quick render of your scene directly in the app.

Storyboard & Panels – View or sketch storyboard images alongside your script.

Top‑Down View – Place cameras, actors, and props on a simple map of your set.

Switch between these views using the dropdown menus above each column or simple keyboard shortcuts (for example, Ctrl + E then P).

1. Start with your script: The script editor formats scene headings, character names, and dialogue automatically. 2. Highlight scenes and shots: Different background colors help you tell where one scene or shot ends. 3. Compare versions: Open two scripts side by side—like your original draft and an AI‑revised draft—to decide which lines to keep.

Working on Your Timeline

1. Add scenes or shots: Drag script blocks onto the timeline to create your sequence. 2. Zoom and scrub: Pinch or scroll to zoom in for frame‑by‑frame work, or zoom out for a full-scene overview. 3. Play back sections: Select a block of shots and hit “Play” to focus only on that part.

Previewing Your Video

Top‑Down Planning

  • Drag-and‑drop: Move cameras, lights, and actors around on a 2D map of your set.
  • Draw paths: Sketch a character’s path or camera movement with your mouse.
  • Sync with 3D tools: Export your setup to Blender for detailed 3D work, then bring it back with one click.
